Stockport Golf Club was founded by a group of visionaries in 1905. A welcoming private members Club it has hosted The Open Regional Qualifier and other major events in recent years as well as attracting visiting golfers and corporate parties.

The Club has been an important member of the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs since the Union was formed in 1921. It currently hosts the Cheshire Junior Championships and is hosting the Cheshire Stroke Play Championship in July 2012.

This beautiful golf course is an 18 hole, SSS, Par 71 that is 6,392 yards long, lying in woodland with a lay-out the envy of many Golf Clubs.
