This gem of a course, tucked away in North Oxfordshire and not too far from junction 10 of the M40, is classic heathland with gorse and broom in abundance. The free-draining nature of its sandy soil ensures it is playable throughout the year and the small, testing greens have a reputation of being fast and true. In the summer the premium is on accuracy and, when the fairways firm up, the ‘inland links’ character offers a unique challenge.
Situated on a hill the view over three counties is stunning and the wind, of course, is often a factor here, notably in the winter when the long par fours are a stiff test for even the longest hitters.
Visitors will receive a warm welcome in our friendly clubhouse which offers hearty lunches and home baked cakes while for real ale enthusiasts a pint of Hook Norton slips down easily after a testing time in the gorse.
