Chepstow is the ideal base for your next golfing trip to Wales. Just over the Old Severn Bridge and five minutes from our hotel is St Pierre, famous venue for many championships, including the Solheim Cup and the Welsh Masters.

Ten miles further down the road, lies the fabulous venue of the 2010 Ryder Cup, Celtic Manor. To the North of Chepstow at Monmouth is the excellent Rolls of Monmouth Club, a beautiful parkland course on the famous estate of the Rolls of Rolls Royce. In addition there are a host of budget courses all within easy reach.

As keen players ourselves, we know what most golfers are looking for: great golf, good accommodation, quality food and beer at pub prices!

Practice facilities are readily available at St Pierre as indeed are lessons with their highly qualified teaching professionals.

The Beaufort specialises in group packages for golfing societies and we can tailor an enjoyable trip to suit you. We know that most canny golfers have a bob or two, but want to hang on to it, so you will find that we offer excellent value for money!

The Beaufort Hotel is situated at the very centre of the historic border town of Chepstow.

Popular with locals and visitors alike, the Beaufort is the oldest, continuously trading hotel in South Wales.

However, the facilities here are all you would expect from a modern hotel, whilst still retaining the charm and character of a 16th century coaching inn. We offer an excellent restaurant with a sophisticated “A La Carte” menu, plus keenly priced Bar meals, available lunchtime and evenings.

Our lounge bar is often busy, particularly at weekends. We regularly cater for groups of residents, golfers, racegoers (Chepstow Races are always popular) and walkers exploring the beautiful countryside. In addition, the hotel hosts many weddings and functions in the Florence Court banqueting suite.

We have 25 en-suite bedrooms. Our rooms are varied in size and shape. Some have original oak beams others are more modern having been added over the last few years. Whatever the style of room all are en-suite and we endeavour to ensure a high degree of cleanliness and comfort. Most rooms are enabled for wifi internet communication. In keeping with a hotel of this nature there is no lift but we do have rooms on the ground floor for those who struggle with stairs.

Our award winning restaurant offers guests a modern a la carte menu featuring traditional British and international dishes to suit all palates.

We buy much of our meat directly from local farmers and use Wye Valley and Welsh produce were possible.

If you are looking for a more casual meal then we serve a wide selection of sandwiches and baguettes, pasta dishes, curries and jacket potatoes in the bar.
