We are ideally situated for your golf trip with 13 golf courses within 30 miles of our Inn.
This 15th Century Coaching Inn has recently undergone a transformation and re-opened offering guests a choice of dining, drinking and sleeping options. With a wealth of exposed beams, feature fireplaces, beautiful solid Oak furniture, locally sourced seasonal produce and a fantastic range of ale’s and wine’s this really is the ideal location to explore from staying in one of our nine individually designed rooms.
As the gateway to Snowdonia the options for walking, mountain biking, water sports or just enjoying the scenery are endless. For those of you who prefer the lure of the sea the coastal towns of Harlech, Barmouth, Aberdovey, Tywyn and Aberystwyth are all just a short drive away with all they offer.
If you enjoy your country sports plenty of Sewin and Salmon can be found running the Dovey and Trout fishing can be arranged in local lakes be it Wild Brownie’s or Rainbow Trout. Clay shooting can be arranged just down the road at the Dovey Valley Shooting Ground or at the nearby Mid Wales Ground, and with some of the finest Pheasant and Duck shooting in the UK to be found locally. s.
We have nine individually designed bedrooms at the Brigands Inn. Each room has been carefully designed to take full advantage of the historic features yet with all the comforts you would expect from a modern hotel room. One of the best features is the use of our fantastic resident’s lounge where guests can relax and enjoy a coffee with the paper, or challenge your partner or friends to a game of Monopoly or cards.
All of our rooms have solid oak beds with some of the rooms having feature four-posters or half-testers and all have deep mattresses, Egption cotton sheets and luxury duvets.
The luxurious bathrooms all have baths and monsoon showers over them or have a separate walk in shower and come with fluffy towels and luxury Ebony London toiletries.
Each room has a flat screen T.V., free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities.
The Brigands menu has been carefully designed to take full advantage of the abundance of fantastic local and seasonal produce that the area can offer. From local sausage and mash, Welsh steaks, locally sourced fish, the menu has something for everyone. Children are catered for with small portions of any of our main dishes.
Should you have any specific dietary requirements we will endeavor to adapt the menu for you, but please feel free to get in touch prior to your visit and our chefs will ensure that we have something that suits you exact needs.
We are also open daily for range of homemade cakes and biscuits to go with tea and coffee.
A selection of well-kept cask ales are always available and these change but regular favourites include Doombar, and Cader Ales Red Bandit, these sit alongside a wide range of beers, spirits and ciders and soft drinks.
There is a carefully chosen Wine list that has been put together to offer a great range of styles to suit all, we have four whites, four reds and a rose all served by the glass plus a dozen or so additional bottles for those special occasions.
