Buccleuch Arms Scottish Borders
The Buccleuch Arms, built in 1836 as a hunting lodge by the 5th Duke of Buccleuch is central to the Borders and hosted many travellers from all walks of life.
We are perfectly situated close to St Boswells Golf Club and we have eight golf courses within eleven miles of Buccleuch Arms. This makes for an ideal location for your golf break.
Privately owned and operated, in recent years the Buccleuch has won many awards for food, drink and hospitality, as well as Scottish Inn of the Year on 4 occasions and the Countryside Alliance Rural Pub of the Year 2023.
We look forward to welcoming back as many returning guests from near and far to our lovely coaching Inn slap bang in the middle of the Scottish Borders and one of the most recognisable and well known hotels around. A large bar, bistrot, beer garden, boardroom, conference room are supplemented by 19 guest bedrooms.
We have always been well known for our steaks and game and it would be exceptionally rare if you didn’t see the likes of pigeon, roe venison, partridge, grouse or pheasant in season on the menu.
Enjoy an overnight stay, evening meal and bottle of wine, followed by an award-winning breakfast the next morning.
Our Boardroom doubles as an elegant room available for private hire and suitable for small civil ceremonies situated at the front of the building with a view into the garden.
We look forward to welcoming you to one of the most historic hotels in the area.
