Carberry Tower Mansion House and Estate is the perfect base to launch your dream Scottish holiday from. So whether you like activity breaks, golfing breaks, historic and cultural delights, or the excitement of being so close to Edinburgh – one of Europe’s oldest and most beautiful capital cities, there is an abundance of things to do nearby. And because our Household has such a rich Royal history and also because we like to treat our guests like Royalty, we felt it would be most appropriate to specifically recommend places to go and things to see that are top-rated attractions and destinations – all of which are conveniently located within a 15-30 minute journey from the Estate.

Carberry Tower Mansion House and Estate is a place of intimate grandeur. And to arrive here, is to weave your own journey into a story that goes back to 1480 when our first foundation stone was laid.

Since then, we have been a gathering place for Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses and over the centuries the great and the good have also come to warm themselves by our fires and feast from our banqueting tables.

And today, more strongly than ever, the banner that reigns over Carberry Tower continues to reflect the matchless values of excellence, abundance and grace – coupled together of course, with the very warmest of Scottish hospitality.

Royal Suites

With stunning views over the Estate, our Royal Suites are some of the finest and most spacious in the Edinburgh area. Presented with toiletries from Floris of London, tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of teas and coffees from Brodie’s of Edinburgh, our Royal Suites simply enfold you and offer a real haven away from everyday life.

And for your comfort and added convenience, an elevator services all main floors.

Classic Rooms

With fascinating vantage points and views over the Estate grounds, our elegantly appointed en-suite bedrooms evoke a warm and welcoming ambience. Many still have their original fireplaces and working shutters and all come with complimentary White Company toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, mineral water, wall-mounted televisions and hairdryers, as well as built-in safes for life’s little precious things.

Or if you prefer an even more generously appointed room, do just ask for, or select an Executive Room during the booking process.

Classic Single Rooms

Our en-suite single rooms are absolutely ideal for those who like to travel on their own or for business guests. However, we like to make a point of ensuring they still have an air of abundance to them, so as standard, they come with complimentary White Company toiletries as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There are also wall-mounted televisions, hairdryers and built-in safes for any valuables.

Principal Rooms

On the first floor, with splendid views overlooking the gardens and flooded with light from their large, original windows, our Principal Rooms are the perfect blend of elegance and intimacy. So whether it be enjoying afternoon tea in our fabulous library, snuggling up in the drawing room, or catching up with the Sunday papers in our music room, plentiful options for relaxation abound. And for your added comfort and convenience, an elevator services all main floors. All our Principal Rooms are available to book for special occasions and private dining parties.
