Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa North Yorkshire
People sometimes ask us to describe what kind of hotel this is and, to be honest, it’s not that easy. It doesn’t categorise very well. We’re country but not country house, a bit stylish, but not designer, run well, but not stuffy, good food not complicated food, lots of art, but not over the top. And on top of all that, we have a lovely spa.
Why do people stay here? Well, all kinds of reasons really. Lots of celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries. Others just like walking in the National Park, exploring the moors and coast, some cycle, some play golf, some drive, some explore the shops and galleries of Helmsley and some do just chill out in the spa.
There are thirty three rooms at this luxury boutique hotel in Yorkshire – each with its own individual character and décor – and each is dressed with Egyptian cotton sheets, soft, luxurious duck down duvets (sheets and blankets if you prefer), a Bang and Olufsen TV with integral CD and DVD player and a selection of each in the room. Every room has a table for room service breakfast, which comes at no extra charge. Bathrooms have speakers background music, L’Occitane toiletries and big, soft, towels.
Dinner is the main focus for the restaurant serving our 5 course tasting menu or 3 course a la carte dinner each evening -plus one of the most talked about cheese trolleys in Yorkshire (do try the Stinking Bishop!) and a large range of after dinner sweet wines and liqueurs. Dinner is served from 6.45 until 9.30pm.
A light relaxed lunch is served in our lounges from 12 to 2 pm, Monday to Saturday and 12.30 to 2.30pm on Sunday where non residents are warmly welcomed.
Throughout the summer we offer a poolside lunch menu each day which is served on the terrace and gardens at the same time as in the lounges.
