Havisham House Bedfordshire

Located in the village of Woburn, Havisham House is ideally suited for both a business trip or a stay to explore the many attractions nearby.

The ethos for your stay is “Great Expectations” both from your hosts and from the house itself. The accommodation has been designed to be luxury and completely bespoke, tailored to be unique in its style within the location.

Havisham House was originally an Ale House dating back to the mid-Victorian era and is a very interesting property. It has just been totally renovated and its history is held within the Woburn archives.

The house is on four floors and very spacious, designed to be full of character and comfort.
There are two main bedrooms which have king size beds plus a further twin bedroom. They all have en-suite facilities. There is also a main bathroom on the first floor, in addition to en suites, if guests wish to use it. A coffee pod machine is provided in each room and there is a separate laundry room for guests use. It is possible to book the whole house for a special occasion in which case up to six people can be accommodated.

Guests will have use of the kitchen and are asked prior to arrival which continental style breakfast they would like provided and to include any dietary requirements.

Guests have sole use of a lower floor dining room and sitting room, which incorporate the original brick archway which is lit up. The private guest social space is suitable for small gatherings. The house boasts a beautiful garden laid to paving with a central pergola and a water feature overlooking a paddock and open fields. Perfect for guests to use to relax and enjoy with seating areas provided.

Private Hire
Havisham House lends itself to weekend hire for wedding guests and for social gatherings. 
It is often hired the night before the Bride or Groom’s wedding day to host a party prior to their wedding. 

The lower ground floor is suitable to host events and parties with hand food such as canapes.
It also has a dining table with a capacity of seating 8 people for guests.
With prior arrangement we can discuss and organize a menu of canape food to be prepared and served to guests at arranged functions or whilst a guest is staying at Havisham House. 

The room also has been hired out for business meetings and book groups and is available.

On street parking is available outside Havisham House however as a courtesy to our neighbours we would ask you limit to one or two the number of cars parked outside the house. There is a large free car park next to the Woburn Hotel a short distance from the house.
