The Kings Head hotel is based in the stunning surroundings of the famous market town of Abergavenny, we have the reputation of a first class hotel combined with the warm friendly atmosphere of a family home. The Kings Head hotel has recently undertaken an expansion and complete refurbishment. We pride ourselves on the standard of our rooms and offer the little touches that you would expect to find in a much larger hotel. Each one of our stylish 14 bedrooms have en-suite facilities, flat screen TV’s, alarm clocks and tea and coffee making facilities. We have recently been awarded 4 stars by the Welsh Tourist Board.
Regency 59 is the newly refurbished restaurant at the Kings Head Hotel. It is open daily serving tasty pub lunches in the day and expansive Indian and Nepalese cuisine in the evening.
We welcome both residents and non-residents in the evening so booking is recommended especially at the weekend.
We have a 18th century renovated barn in the courtyard of the Hotel that is fully serviced and is available for functions, meetings, parties or weddings to accommodate 40 – 50 guests. We can also provide you with exclusive use of Venue 59 depending on availability and numbers.
The Kings Head hotel has live music every Friday night. We have a wide screen and Sky TV and are pleased to show sporting events on request (first come, first served!). We have a fully stocked bar offering several lagers and two real ales. We are pleased to welcome wheelchairs and pushchairs into Venue 59 and we have highchairs on request. Venue 59 also has a fully accessible disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.
Abergavenny is a famous market town known as the ‘Gateway to Wales’, we are protected by two mountains The Sugar Loaf and The Blorenge which offer year round stunning views and walks. We are a thriving town offering weekly bustling markets and a packed high street with big name brands and small boutiques that offer something for everyone. We are easily accessible by road from the M50 and the M4 and just 40 minutes from Cardiff, the capital of Wales. Abergavenny has a main line train station which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
