Mere Brook House Merseyside

Mere Brook House is an imposing Edwardian country house on the Wirral. It offers high class bed and breakfast accommodation in eight bedrooms and has facilities for events, such as celebrations and business meetings.

The house is situated in its own grounds extending to almost four acres that include a beautiful garden with sunken dell sheltered by mature trees, paddocks and a woodland area beyond that runs down to the Mere Brook. 

Mere Brook House is owned by Russ and Annabel, a family from Thornton Hough. Mere Brook House has eight en-suite bedrooms and superb facilities for celebrations and business meetings. The 5 Star Gold bed and breakfast is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Thornton Hough, nestled between the famous cities of Liverpool and Chester. This makes it an ideal base for exploring both cities, as well as visiting the many attractions on the Wirral.

For those of you interested in golf the Wirral is an excellent place to visit as it is the home of no less than 14 golf courses, four (all less than 10 miles from Mere Brook) of which are part of England’s Golf Coast involving a breath taking coastline and picturesque countryside. Although I personally don’t play golf I regularly walk along this coast and always think what fantastic locations these golf courses are in and that it must be amazing playing a sport you enjoy in such wonderful surroundings.

Mere Brook House has a total of eight bedrooms. Four are in the main house with an additional four in the coach house. The coach house is situated close to the house with just a patio area between them and is in a great position just on the edge of the gardens. All the rooms are en-suite, one is a single (Blossom), three can be twin or super king (Iris, Flora and Honeycomb) and four have king size beds (Dragonfly, Mere Brook, Balcony and Queen Bee).

The bedrooms in the main house are on the first floor, whereas in the coach house, three are on the ground floor and one on the first floor.

All bedrooms at Mere Brook have been individually designed using a mix of antique and contemporary furniture and fabrics.

There is hard wired internet access in every room in addition to WiFi throughout – allowing business and social guests to work or keep in touch with family and friends.

All the rooms have been designed with your comfort in mind… The beds have pocket sprung mattresses and all rooms have colour TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has a hair dryer and an iron can also be provided on request.

Mere Brook House is situated just over a mile from junction 4 of the M53, making it an accessible business meeting venue from all parts of the Wirral, Liverpool and Chester.
