Raemoir is one of the most beautiful and original hotels in the Highlands. Located near Banchory, the gateway to Royal Deeside and the Whisky, Castle and Golf Trails, there is a high standard of wonderfully appointed accommodation to be found here along with excellent levels of service and relaxation in the indulgent public areas.
It is an ideal base for golfers looking to play some of the 50 championship, links and parkland courses that Aberdeenshire has to offer and for those looking for a little more history. St Andrews is only 90 minutes away. Helicopter transport make the likes of Castle Stuart and Royal Dornoch playable in a day and be back in time for Dinner!
Raemoir House, voted Regional Country House Hotel of the Year for the last 4 years by the Scottish Hotel Awards, offers one of the most traditional and comfortable experiences in the area.
With a choice of 18 ensuite bedrooms all individually decorated in a traditional and elegant style with a mix of fabulous views over the gardens to Royal Deeside beyond, generous space and classic four poster beds we have a range of rooms to suit all tastes and budgets. There are 14 rooms in the Main House, with an additional 4 in the 300 year old “Ha’ Hoose”.
Whilst traditional and rural, the hotel embraces the demands of the modern traveller and provides flat screen digital TVs in all rooms and complimentary wi-fi access.
Raemoir has consistently kept high standards for its food since 1996. An A la Carte Bar menu is available at lunchtime and the restaurant offers an A la Carte menu Monday-Friday to non-residents and a Table d’Hote option in the dining room on the weekend. Non-residents are more than welcome for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Our chefs make a point of using foraged and locally sourced produce given that Aberdeen, and its Shire, has a larder with an abundance of top quality beef, lamb, fish, grains and vegetables. Sourcing locally means, that unless specifically requested, you will not find out of season products on the menu and our association with the Scotch Beef Club, whose members are ambassadors for fresh, well-produced Scottish beef means our meat products are of a consistently high quality. This is reflected in the culinary experience we offer, whether a simple bar meal or a fine-dining experience, in one of Aberdeenshire’s best AA 2 rosettes, Michelin-recommended restaurants.
