St John’s Cottages Kent
St. John’s Cottages are family – owned holiday cottages to let in the heart of the Ancient Cinque Port of Sandwich, Kent, the Garden of England and less than two miles from The Royal St George’s Golf Club.
The refurbished Georgian cottages were built in 1805, replacing the Old Hall from 1287.
The cottages stand in our own private garden, about 36m back from the street, well away from traffic but right in the town centre.
The cottages also have their own individual gardens or yards.
The market town of Sandwich has interesting shops, a French delicatessen, an excellent butcher, greengrocer & a small modern supermarket, plus many restaurants, pubs, art galleries, a town museum, a cinema with the latest films, and all small town facilities, many hidden to be discovered as our visitors stroll through the narrow streets.
The cottages are let regularly throughout the year, not just in the summer. We welcome winter weekend or midweek breaks.
St. John’s Cottages are small and simple, still of the same size and attractive appearance as the 1805 original, but brought up to date.
Each cottage is ideal for two adults and in the larger cottages a child also one small and well-behaved dog is welcome, by prior agreement.
Parking should present no difficulty, as our private hardstanding in front of the cottages is available as a free small car park.
Note:
Bookings can begin and end on any day of the week if we have space available.
