The Barbon Inn is a family run, pet friendly traditional 17th century Coaching Inn which started life as a farmhouse. 

Situated in the peaceful and tranquil village of Barbon, this country inn offers old world charm in its accommodation,  restaurant and pub. We use good quality, locally sourced produce to create our traditional pub menu and various weekly specials, along with a Sunday Roast.

We a small cosy hotel with 8 bedrooms situated in the heart of the village, conveniently located halfway between the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park which makes it the perfect base for exploring both. The market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is only a couple of miles away with a traditional market held every Thursday. 

On offer are superb Restaurant and bar meals, light bites and a variety of Chefs specials prepared fresh on the day. Our menu is driven from local seasonal produce sustainably sourced from suppliers on our doorstep.

You can choose to dine in the bar, or in the dining room or outside when the weather permit. The real fires in the bar, lounge and dining room completes the warm and inviting atmosphere during the cooler days.

In the Coach Lamp Bar by an open log fire, locally brewed beers are a speciality, with guest Ales from a variety of local breweries. Latest arrival is Kirkby Lonsdale Breweries Monumental. A firm favourite for blonde ale lovers. 

Fresh behind the bar, we have a delightful, aromatic and smooth award winning Vodka from Nine Tines, in North Yorkshire. Superb straight up or bringing its unique notes to the mixer of your choice.
