The Dragon Hotel Powys

The Dragon is a 17th century family run former coaching inn, set in a quiet village-sized town in the stunning countryside of the historic Welsh Marches. 

We have 20 en-suite bedrooms, most with exposed ancient timbers, a spacious function room complete with dance floor, a cosy restaurant, an indoor swimming pool and sauna and much more – all topped off with plenty of character and charm!

The Dragon lounge bar provides a warm welcoming atmosphere for a casual drink or a choice of bar meals created by our award winning chef, these include local steaks, Welsh lamb, traditional ploughman’s lunches, sandwiches and much, much more. 

The Dragon Hotel has held an AA rosette for fine food since 1999. 

Our indoor swimming pool and sauna are situated in a self-contained timber chalet, with their own changing rooms, showers etc. providing the ideal way to relax at the end of a busy day.
