The Firs Guesthouse North Yorkshire

The Firs Guesthouse offers true Yorkshire Hospitality at its best. It is a large detached Victorian property with many of its original features, such as doors, floors, skirting boards, and picture rails. Situated at the top of the bank in the picturesque coastal village of Runswick Bay, The Firs is 7 miles from Whitby Golf Club, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.We offer various room accommodation sizes on ground floor and first floor levels.All our rooms are individually decorated with both modern and antique furniture, they all have en-suite bathrooms, TV, sofa or chair to relax in, a radio or iPod docking station and free WiFi is available throughout the building. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in all our rooms along with fresh milk which is replaced daily. 

We also have storage space available for golf equipment.

We aim to make your stay with us as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible and will try to assist you in any way we can in order to achieve this. Please do not hesitate to ask for anything that will enhance your stay with us.

At the beginning of 2020 we also installed an electric vehicle charging point as part of our steps to a greener environment.

The Firs is licensed to serve alcohol in the bar and with the consumption of an evening meal at our Seafood Restaurant, The Runswick Bay Catch, where we serve as local fresh fish and seafood. All dishes on our menu are cooked to order using fresh local produce, this means we can remove any of the ingredients to cater to all dietary requirements.
We also offer a full vegetarian and vegan menu.
