Welcome to The Hostelrie – Goodrich

The Hostelrie at Goodrich is a Country Inn with rooms, a restaurant and a bar. The 19th century gothic style building is situated in the pretty village of Goodrich, making it the perfect base for visitors wishing to explore the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley and the Golden Valley as well as the nearby historic market towns of Ledbury, Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye.

Set in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside, the Hostelrie at Goodrich exudes warmth and rural charm. With crackling fires in the winter or the garden in the summer, traditional food and local ales on tap, it is a popular spot for locals to catch up over a pint, or a delicious home cooked meal.

Here at the Hostelrie each of our bedrooms is unique and aptly named after local places such as Kerne, Coppett and Huntsham. Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend away, an active family holiday, or just a retreat with friends, we have bedrooms to cater to all needs.

All of our bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Our head chef, Graham Wride, has a wealth of experience in the hospitality trade, and has been a chef in a number of pubs and restaurants, most recently the Green Man at Fownhope. With his team in the kitchen he is now developing his own style at the Hostelrie at Goodrich offering quintessentially English pub food in the Bar and a more exciting Specials Menu. 

The Bar offers a cosy and rustic setting for eating our classic pub food and enjoying local ales, ciders and wine in front of the log burning stove. 

As the Hostelrie has a spacious restaurant with its own bar, in addition to our cosy main pub bar, we are able to host private functions and parties.

The restaurant opens into the garden via double doors, making it the ideal summer party venue, as we can make the garden and restaurant areas exclusively yours with your own bar.

The restaurant can be laid out to make way for DJ’s or bands with dance floor, and tables can be arranged for large party meals. We can accommodate up to 50 people for a full three course meal or more if a buffet is served.
