Situated in the quaint village of Halse, we are just five miles from the Somerset county town of Taunton and only 10 minutes walk from the famous West Somerset Railway!
The North Somerset coast is just 30 minutes away. The New Inn provides a great spot for lunch or dinner, accompanied by a glass of wine from the extensive wine cellar or a pint of West Country real ale.

The restaurant serves up seasonal cuisine, honestly priced. The quality food uses only the finest, freshest ingredients, sourced from local markets and suppliers wherever possible. Our extensive wine list offers carefully chosen wines to accompany your meal. We specialise in catering for larger groups (between 8 and 14 people) and are always happy to discuss menus during booking.
Our function room, equipped with its own bar, is the ideal place for your next private event – whether it’s a sporting party, a business meeting or a corporate event.
