The Pheasant Hotel North Yorkshire

The Pheasant has arguably one of the most beautiful Country Hotel settings in North Yorkshire, overlooking the duck pond in the picturesque village of Harome.

Originally converted from what had been the blacksmith’s shop, village shop and barns, the Pheasant offers one single and eleven double rooms, in addition to two suites, all set around a courtyard of fruit trees, with its own indoor heated swimming pool.

All in all, the Pheasant is a great base from which to absorb the North Yorkshire Moors countryside – from the castles to the coast, moorland to market towns – or simply soak in the restful and rural surroundings of Harome.

And, as the part of the Michelin-starred Star Inn family, the quality of food, surroundings and service are guaranteed – whilst even more flexible and relaxed.

Our Dining Room and Conservatory are open to both residents and non-residents for dinner bookings between 7pm and 9pm and lunch between 12pm and 2pm, with 2 menus available. The sample Menus are provided as a guide, and the lunchtime Menus will additionally include lighter dishes, sandwiches and accompaniments.

Our Chef’s Menu aims to showcase simple, fresh flavours, sourced locally from within Ryedale, wherever possible, and changing continually with the passing of the seasons. Smaller and larger portions allow for meals to be taken as traditional starters and main courses, according to appetite. Alternatively, the smaller portions permit a selective ‘Taster Menu’ approach.
