The Star Inn North Yorkshire
Accommodation.
Two types of accommodation are available.
The first of these is our boutique eight-room hotel, Cross House Lodge with its own separate dining room, The Wheelhouse, where breakfast is taken, and residential groups may wish to arrange a private dinner or lunch.
We also have cottage accommodation in Black Eagle Cottages
and Rutland House, which can be booked for a single night and upwards. Black Eagle Cottages comprises 3 suites suitable for couples: The Lodge, The Barn and The Garden Shed, whilst the five-bedroomed Rutland House is suitable for families or small groups. A generous breakfast “hamper” is provided as part of the daily rate for the cottages and there are kitchen facilities allowing guests to prepare the first meal of the day to their own time schedules. Alternatively, a chef can be provided, at an
additional cost.
All rooms and cottages are available from 2.30pm on the
day of arrival until noon on the day of departure.
Restaurant.
A certain northern rootedness inspires Andrew’s cooking,
where poet and peasant co-exist in one menu.
A sort of traditional British style with spiced up old favourites and Anglicised classics using, wherever possible, seasonal produce from a strong network of suppliers – both professional and amateur.
If the Restaurant is full you are more than welcome to eat in the bar (or Garden, during the summer months), where we serve the same menu as the Restaurant. We do not take reservations in the bar, but please feel free to join us during the usual opening hours.
We are pleased to announce that our new dining room is now available for bookings.
