Traditional village pub and restaurant, with 5 B&B ensuite rooms. Located just off Junction 13 of the M4 near Newbury.

There are nine golf courses within fourteen miles of Ye Old Red Lion, making us an ideal base for your golf break.

With its comfortable seating and open fire, we serve real ales and beers, and of course, a menu that’s bursting with moreish meals and plenty of sweet treats, so you’re sure to find a dish that will delight your taste buds.

So, whether you’re catching up with friends, celebrating with family, or even enjoying a romantic meal for two, you’ll be able to dine and relax in truly special surroundings.

All our rooms have en-suites and contain FREE Wifi, a flat-screen TV with Freeview, soft white towels, hairdryer, a well-stocked hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries.

Our rooms include Standard Doubles, a Double/Twin and a disabled access ground floor room.

All our rooms have an individual style, many of them have traditional oak beams and with some being set in the original 15th century thatched cottage which is adjacent to our garden.

Ye Olde Red Lion B&B is ideal for business trips, leisure breaks or a longer stay to get away from it all.

We pride ourselves on using the freshest ingredients throughout the year, so you’ll find our menus regularly changing to reflect the season’s finest produce and top quality ingredients. If you have an allergy or food intolerance, please let your servers know prior to placing your order.

At Ye Olde Red Lion Chieveley, we serve a fine selection of real ales from Arkell’s of Swindon. Below are some tasting notes of the real ales we offer. You will see from the list below that we stock  3B and Hoperation IPA permanently, and have at least one other seasonal ale (subject to availability).
