Ludlow Golf Club Shropshire

Set amidst the beautiful rolling hills of South Shropshire, Ludlow Golf Club is uniquely designed around the famous Ludlow Racecourse. Measuring 6277 yards with a par of 70 it represents a good test for the best of golfers.

In existence for well over 100 years, the course is set in unspoilt heathland based on a sandy type of soil which provides us with lovely springy fairways and superb greens for which Ludlow is now justifiably famous. because of this excellent soil base, we rarely have the need for wintergreens, giving us year-round golfing pleasure.

Also, being almost totally flat, the course is rightly very popular with our more senior members. This does not mean it is an easy course. Two reservoirs come into play. One on the 14th, a 150 yard hole, a carry of 140 yards is required to hit the green. On the 15th, a straight drive is called for to keep away from the lake and the boundaries either side.

The Clubhouse, which has benefited from a £300,00 improvement, provides first class facilities for the tired and thirsty golfer.

There is also a 70 seat dining room and a resident chef preparing excellent food from local produce. A small conference & business centre seating up to 16 people is available for hire; ideally suited for the client wishing to mix business with pleasure. We also have a superb Pro’s shop, stocking a wide range of clothes and equipment with friendly and helpful staff always pleased to assist you.

Ludlow Golf Club is situated within two miles of Ludlow, which is arguably the most beautiful market town in England, and is full of superb Georgian buildings and the important Ludlow Castle.
